The location was decent, but the room had bed bugs that bit me alive one night, the AC fell off the wall, and black mold toxins filled the space; the staff were never available for help, and when they were present they were rude and unhelpful, blaming us for the hostel’s lack of maintenance.

The only thing that made this place worth a visit was its location – right in the middle of everything. The rest? A real disappointment. The female dorm is cramped, with three bunk beds in a room that feels like it could only hold two people. There's dirt and hair everywhere, and the metal beds creak every time you move. The whole hostel looks and smells like it hasn't been cleaned in ages – kitchen, bathrooms, even the floor in the shower stays wet because there are no curtains.

The people there were friendly and the location was great, especially with the sea view. However, the air conditioning was broken and the rooms and bathrooms were always dirty and damp. There was no toilet paper either. It was a let‑down after the good vibes.

Super central and the staff respect the 11:15 pm quiet time – everything on the terrace shuts down and you can sleep soundly. The lower bunks have curtains that make the space feel cozy, and the terrace offers a spectacular view. The downside is the shower doesn’t work well, there aren’t enough bathrooms for the number of guests, and the toilet paper runs out fast and isn’t restocked quickly. It’s a bit pricey, but that’s what you get in Himare.
