Located off Interstate 85 Exit 89, the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Buckhead Area offers a free continental breakfast with fresh waffles, muffins, danishes, bagels, and hot and cold cereal. Suites feature flat-screen cable TVs, refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers, while some were custom-designed by the Savannah College of Art and Design. The room was basic, but the noise from the nightclubs, the elevator, the breakfast, and the old TV made me feel like I didn’t want to be there.

The hotel is right on the highway and they bake fresh cookies after breakfast that I loved—so many flavors, I went a bit overboard. The staff were courteous and helpful, and the room was spotless. The elevator needs an upgrade; my husband is disabled and waiting for it to work is insane—new equipment or better service is required.
