I stayed in a very private and exclusive setting with an amazing hot spring soak both in the room and outdoors. Everything else was nice, and the dinners were the highlight of the trip. The last dinner, however, forced us to sit in a makeshift arrangement in the lounge next to a family with unruly children, which was not pleasant.

Everything was perfect—this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The food was incredible, the rooms were very luxurious with every detail considered, and the onsens were amazing. The staff truly accommodated my son’s food preferences. I can’t fault the property!

The staff-to-guest ratio was high, and they were all attentive and engaging, providing a “white glove” type of service. The room was large and came with all necessary and many “nice to have” amenities. Meals were fancy “top chef” style multi-course dishes, all plated instead of buffet. The private onsen rooms were beautiful and a wonderful bonus to our in-room onsen. We didn’t arrive by car, so the uphill hike to the resort’s main entry was a bit strenuous. The staff came down the hill to greet us and offered to take our luggage, but my husband seemed much stronger, so we declined. The uphill road is short but steep, making it a small workout even without luggage. The resort would benefit from providing a golf cart for guests traveling on foot. The robes and slippers didn’t fit my husband, who is 6ft / 220lb. The toilet room would have been more convenient closer to the shower/onsen area instead of at the entryway.

The staff were incredibly sweet, the view from the room was outstanding, and the onsen was wonderful.

The food was very good. The private onsen offered a beautiful view outside. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was only until 9 am (fix). Unfortunately, the street noise was disturbing when sitting in the private onsen with the balcony door open. Hotel staff with a mild cold should proactively wear a mask.
