AmericInn by Wyndham Douglas/Saugatuck

Close to a wedding venue nearby. No drinking water available except for purchase. Unusual for a hotel. Not even at breakfast

“A great pet freindly hotel, without the smell of pets”

I loved this hotel! It was very clean, had a great location, and I especially appreciated that it was pet-friendly. The room was spotless and, most importantly, there was absolutely no smell of pets. That can sometimes be an issue at pet-friendly hotels, but not here. The breakfast was excellent and had everything we needed to start the day. The dog area was also nice and convenient, making it easy when traveling with a pet. A small suggestion for breakfast would be to offer some fresh fruit. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, pet-friendly, and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again. My only real complaint was the bed. It was a little too soft for my liking, and I would have preferred a slightly firmer mattress. The room could also be updated with a built-in wireless charging pad rather than having only USB ports. The $35-per-day pet fee is a little steep, especially considering my dog never had an accident, never barked, and caused no problems during our stay. I think the pet fee should also be clearly noted on the hotel's website so guests know about it before booking. A small suggestion for breakfast would be to offer some fresh fruit

Perfect location, easy parking, lovely lobby, clean rooms.the most comfortable beds ever! Responsiveness of staff. Bathtub could use a good cleaning.very stained. The toilet was clogged.but resolved quickly with a call to the desk. They should always provide receipt.I shouldn't have to request it

Close to downtown not that big of a drive. The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the toilet handle had to be held. Other than that it was very clean
