The location is very good and the breakfast was freshly prepared and ample.

The staff were friendly, the beer garden was nice, and on Friday an American buffet was offered as an alternative to the à la carte dinner. In the evening a “Uhu‑Party” with a solo entertainer was the highlight, and he skillfully incorporated guests’ requests into his set. On Sunday there was no breakfast because no hotel staff were present; only an IT employee (as he introduced himself) let us stay in the dining room so we could at least wait there. After a while, we and other guests left the hotel without breakfast. On the other days the breakfast was simple (cold scrambled eggs, plain rolls) but acceptable. In the room there was no curtain, blinds or roller blinds, so the windows couldn’t be darkened and there was no privacy from the building opposite. The atmosphere didn’t feel comfortable.

The price‑to‑value is just about acceptable. The manager sent me away from the beer garden even though I was a guest of the hotel, which was really uncool.

“Sehr schlecht, so etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt”

We booked breakfast included and paid for it, yet the hotel failed to provide it. They told us breakfast ran from 9:00 to 11:00, but when we arrived at 9:00 we had to wander the whole building because no one told us where the breakfast room was. When we finally found it there was no staff present—only an external IT worker who said he was there for computer work and that no other employees were on site. We waited about 45 minutes and nobody from the hotel showed up, so we got nothing for the money we paid. Other guests were equally upset. The room itself was in terrible condition: it clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, with large piles of dust and wool mites in corners and under the bed, a folded jacket that didn’t belong to us, and an extremely dusty area that left me with a blocked nose all night and feeling ill. The toilet flush was broken, the TV flickered and didn’t work properly, and the sheets had a strong cigarette smell even though we’re non‑smokers. Overall, we’re very disappointed; paying for breakfast and receiving nothing is absolutely unacceptable.

The value for money was fine, but on Sunday the breakfast was cancelled because the staff overslept.
