Hotel & Restaurant Adler

The location was very good and the breakfast was alright. However, the stay was disappointing: we arrived to an empty building with instructions on how to get the key, which made us feel like we were staying at a cheap Airbnb instead of a nice hotel. No staff, no help, nothing – a complete lack of hospitality. The breakfast the next day was nice but didn’t make up for the feeling of almost squatting in an abandoned building with no soul. The bedroom was fine and clean but the pillows were very uncomfortable, and there was no kettle in the room. I would understand if this were a cheap place, but it wasn’t.

“Great place to stay”

Breakfast was very good and we had one exceptional evening meal at the restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend Hornberg as a really nice old town, great for public transport and a good base for visiting the Black Forest area.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious – definitely worth recommending and we’ll be back. Nothing else to complain about.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast tasty, and even though it’s right in town it’s surprisingly quiet. The only downside was the lack of assigned parking.
