“Excellent but not the stairs to the room”
At 75, I found room 32 perched on the seventh flight of stairs; I could have requested a different room for £85, but I chose to stay as is. The stairs leading to the room were a drawback.

The food was very nice. I believe the swimming pool and sauna should be part of every stay, not an optional extra.

An amazing place, with an amazing spa and amazing staff. The only downside was having to leave.

The venue was ideal for a wedding, the dog‑friendly rooms were nice, and the staff were lovely and friendly. The spa wasn’t included, and since half of the breakfast menu is a kind of Benedict, it would help if the chefs could poach eggs properly; they were all overcooked.

The building’s architecture was beautiful, the decor was well curated, and the room layout felt homely and relaxing. However, the cold tap on the bath didn’t work, the bathroom bin was cracked or smashed, the area under the bed was very dirty, there were fake rose petals, lots of hairpins, and the cutlery at breakfast was dirty.
