Being right next to the train station and with Lawson right next door is a plus, though the pillows were very flat, which is just our personal preference.

After staying at Hop Inn in Asakusa, I consider Hop Inn the top choice for accommodation in Japan; the rooms were spotless, the triple family suite was well laid out and the bathroom was spacious. My room 707 even featured a little outdoor garden, though I couldn’t step outside. The hotel sits near several subway stations, making trips easy, and I’ll pick Hop Inn again for my next Kyoto visit.

I had a great stay; the hotel is spotless and the staff are delightful. It’s close to buses and underground stations, and I could visit nearby supermarkets and restaurants. Walking to the main shopping street takes about 20‑30 minutes, and the neighborhood feels safe enough while being far enough from the busiest tourist spots. I would book again.
