The room was tiny, but we got access to a little lounge with a wood‑burning stove and a handy kitchen nook, which made it feel much larger. Since we were the only ones using the shared areas during our stay, it stayed comfortable and quiet. It’s right on the bus stop and under 100 m from the marble‑cave tours and the peaceful centre of Puerto Rio.

Everything checked out fine. Breakfast isn’t included, but the town offers plenty of cafés and bakeries to choose from.

The place is cozy, the owner’s dogs are friendly and it’s right in the centre, but I ended up paying more than the listing said and they only accepted cash in local currency instead of the dollar card payment they promised. That mismatch should be sorted between the host and the booking site, not left for a foreign guest to sort out.

Brandon was a lifesaver – he kept the fire going so we stayed warm, sent over a hair dryer in no time, and the kitchen was fully stocked so we could whip up breakfast. He even helped me track down my lost phone and arranged the return. I’d definitely come back.
