The bed was so comfy after a long drive, and the owners were kind and friendly, which was lovely; the room could have been a touch cleaner, I think.

The location is great, but it looks like the business is about to be sold and replaced. The shower curtain had mildew, the door wouldn’t lock from the outside (the doorknob was jammed anyway), towels were stained, the blackout curtain didn’t cover the whole window so sunlight leaked in, and the free Wi‑Fi was spotty. The staff were very friendly and responsive.

The air conditioning worked perfectly and the owners were very kind, but the towels, bedding, and floors were quite dirty. It’s an old building that doesn’t seem to be cleaned thoroughly between guests. There were many flies and mosquitoes when I checked in, and I saw two roaches on the first night and another two the next night. When I realized there was a roach infestation, I asked for a refund, but I had booked online. If I’d booked on site, the owners said they would have refunded the rest of my stay.
