We visit this place at least twice a year; the food is excellent and offers good value, the pub area has a nice atmosphere, and it’s conveniently located—just 22 minutes from The Royal Welsh Showground. The bed, however, needs a new mattress or a topper because I could feel all the springs.

The bar and dining area are definitely okay, and you can sit outside on the terrace; the lady behind the bar is friendly, and the hotel is dog‑friendly. In the morning, no one was available to check out—odd opening hours for a hotel. We had to eat breakfast elsewhere because we hadn’t mentioned it the night before, which was a bit confusing. The room was very small with a squeaky bed; the bathroom is fine but only suitable for one night. The mattress was broken, urgent refurbishment is needed—small fixes could make a big difference.

This spot is perfect for bikers who want to enjoy fantastic roads; it’s very central and close to larger towns if you need anything. I’ll definitely return to explore more routes.
