The staff were friendly, the food was simple but very well made, though one could argue about the taste.

The staff were very friendly. The parking lot was huge and well lit. The restaurant, courtyard, and entrance area were nicely designed, and the breakfast area overlooked the garden. The breakfast itself was fine, and there were drinks from the coffee machine. The food in the restaurant was good. We stayed in a very large room (Nr. 29). The bathroom was okay and the towels were top‑quality—very white and soft, which we liked. Every day there was a small bottle of water for each guest, something not common everywhere. The area is great for cycling around the Havelsee region. The portions in the restaurant were normal size, and the main dishes started at about 20 €. For example, Sülze with Bratkartoffeln cost 22,30 €(!), Hamburger Schnitzel 21,60 €. Drinks: 0,5 l beer 5,40 €, Bananenweizen 0,5 l 6,20 €(!). What really bothered us were the tablecloths at breakfast; they lay each day crumpled and wrinkled. They were clean, but visually they could use improvement. On the terrace connected to the breakfast room, someone had apparently smoked at some point; the ashtray remained and ash lay on the table all day. A fresh coat of paint over the radiators in the breakfast room would also improve the look. Even though we had the largest room (Room 29), we didn’t feel very comfortable there. The furnishings were quite dated, which isn’t necessarily a problem for us, but a large red couch stood in the middle of the room. Its back cushions apparently had never been washed; the headrests were so dirty that we turned them upside down with the zipper (it can be removed!) so we wouldn’t see the dirtiest part. That was really disgusting. We didn’t sit on it at all—better no couch than one like that! The hotel markets itself as a spa, but the prices match those of hotels that justify such services, which we feel they do not, since the spa is only available from Friday to Sunday. An additional flat fee of 26 € per person would have been required. Too bad.

It was still bookable. The 90s charm comes with future‑priced rates. There was a cigarette smell in the room, and the bathroom was not suitable for large people.

The breakfast was good, but for the price the selection could have been larger; the large counter made the offer feel a bit scattered. We especially want to highlight the perfect and very friendly staff. Even though the kitchen was already closed, we still got something to eat—an exceptionally good service, thank you! The accommodation was not wheelchair‑accessible at all. With a lot of improvisation and willingness to endure significant discomfort, one could somehow reach everything, but that had nothing to do with accessibility. The building is clearly old. The various craft works appeared as a jumble of solutions that somehow worked individually but together created a large visual mess. Many things seemed improvised, uneven, and without a clear overall concept. As a showcase for trainees it could be interesting: you can see what is possible craftwise—and in many places also how it could be done much better.

De gastheer. We kwamen zeer laat aan maar hij was belachelijk vriendelijk. Ronduit fantastisch. Het is allemaal wat gedateerd…
