“I should have just driven an additional 17 miles to Savannah Georgia where I could’ve gotten the same room for $53 inste”
I could park right in front of my room on the ground floor, so I didn’t have to climb stairs, and I found no bedbugs after checking. My room was at the back, which felt a bit sketchy. The place could use a refresh—some details need attention, like paint droplets on the bathroom door that nobody removed. Cleanliness was lacking in several spots, and the room phone didn’t work for calling front office, looking very filthy as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Wi‑Fi was down too, and nobody mentioned the Wi‑Fi or phone system until I pointed it out at the desk, where the staff blamed a recent storm. Only decaf coffee was in the room, so I had to walk all the way to the front desk to get regular coffee, which is hard for me. I also noticed a large purpleish stain on the comforter or bedspread, which looked like someone had used a cleaner that turned it purple—this made me check for bedbugs.
