I enjoyed the breakfast, though it was served at the Jugendstilhotel rather than right next to us, and the setting right on the forest edge was beautiful. The little witch house was charming and the décor felt like a fairytale, but there was no seating available in the witch kitchen at Villa Waldfrieden.

You can make your own breakfast in the Hexenhaus, though you have to bring the food yourself; the host left a homemade cake for guests that tasted excellent, and there’s also a nearby hotel about 2 km away where you can eat for €19.50 per person. The downside is that when the weather is bad you’re stuck inside the 15‑square‑metre Hexenhaus with no TV and no games, so you’ll need to bring your own entertainment.

The contact with the owner was super friendly and welcoming, which made our stay really special. The little house was cozy and lovingly furnished, and its location was perfect for hiking - quiet and peaceful. However, the heating system could be better optimized, as it got really warm upstairs while staying cool downstairs. Also, the kitchen was a bit basic, but we were aware of that beforehand and could use the communal kitchen at Villa Waldfrieden if needed.

This tiny house was a real treat - so cute and comfy, with a lovely view of the hills across the valley. We loved having direct access to the forest, and the place stayed warm even in winter. The welcome package was thoughtful, with water, tea, coffee, and even a delicious cake. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

We loved our stay in this wonderful accommodation, which came with a lovely welcome gift. The location is perfect for hiking, with trails right outside the door. It was a really relaxing stay, and we'd definitely recommend it.
