The spot was quiet, the sea view was breathtaking, the hosts offered three tasty meals a day on request, it’s close to the beach and Corcovado National Park, Drake Bay is a max 30‑minute drive, and the gravel road is best tackled with an SUV or 4x4.

The seclusion, the view, and the terrace photo‑ops were wonderful, and the owner cooked superbly, being both helpful and friendly; we were almost in tears when we said goodbye because they were so kind.
