The location works well and the food is tasty, and the local cats are sweet and playful. The only real problem was how the hotel handled payments for a hot‑air balloon ride: for a private balloon they offered either €5,000 on a credit card or €5,500 in cash, but for the 28‑person group they only accepted cash at €250 per person, no credit card option. I couldn’t withdraw euros at a local ATM, so I had to take out 42,000 Turkish lira and pay an extra $200 in ATM fees; if the same price had been available on card I’d have avoided that cost and kept a card record. The price felt steep for what you get, and there was no air conditioning even though daytime temperatures in September can be quite hot.
