The hotel’s surroundings were beautiful and the personnel were very polite and exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was excellent, featuring one meal from the menu plus a yogurt, fruit, and pastries buffet. We also dined at the hotel restaurant for a late dinner, and the food was very tasty.

The hotel was characterful, peaceful, and welcoming, with a pleasant room, comfortable bed, and lovely river and woodland views. However, the “deluxe” room was fairly standard, the paintwork and carpet were a bit tired, and there was only one chair for two people.

The spot was gorgeous, but it felt a bit pricey, which seems to be the trend across all of Ireland these days.
