“A different experience in Japan with the old fashioned furniture in the rooms. A little expensive for the stay.”

The onsen was enjoyable, the sauna looked new and tidy, and the shuttle from the station was helpful, even adjusting our booking when we arrived early; however, the property felt dated, the bed’s springs made it uncomfortable, and there was no western breakfast option.

I stayed at a mountain hotel with huge rooms, which is typical for Japan. The place is completely isolated, which isn’t a bad thing if that’s what you’re after.

“Comfortabele glamping ervaring in prachtige streek.”

The glamping tent was spacious, comfortable, had good air‑conditioning and a practical outdoor area. The sauna with cold‑water baths was also great. The only downside was the distance to the toilet.
