The rooms are beautiful, the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent.
We felt like royalty at the castle. Macarons awaited us at the table, and for our border collie there was a bowl, a blanket, and treats from our favorite Slovak brands. Breakfast was very good!

The hotel is fantastic, with a high standard. The rooms are very clean, well maintained, spacious, and equipped with new, elegant furnishings; attention to detail and thoughtful décor make the interiors interesting. Towels are soft, cosmetics fragrant, breakfasts delicious, and coffee excellent. The staff are smiling, friendly, and meet guests’ expectations. However, air conditioning would be welcome, especially since the courtyard has thick walls and the room wasn’t heated.

A stunningly restored country manor sits in a tranquil village, and we loved renting bikes to ride along the Vah river to Strecno Castle. The indoor pool was superb, the meals were outstanding, and the staff were incredibly welcoming—everyone’s friendliness stood out. Our room was spacious and lovely, and we joined a special dinner where, even without speaking Slovak, we had a fantastic time with other guests who translated for us. Climbing the brilliantly restored tower was another highlight, especially for my husband, a caver, who really enjoyed it.
