Quality Inn Grand Rapids South-Byron Center

This place is seriously outdated and needs a full update. The rooms smell of mildew, the carpets are disgusting, the bathrooms are tiny, and the whole hotel reeks like a smokers’ joint—something we don’t have here in Michigan anymore.

“Horrible experience start to finish”

Nothing worth mentioning. The hot tub was broken, filthy, the staff were rude, and the management was even more rude.

“If you’re in a pinch it’ll work, if not I’d choose somewhere else”

The front desk person was friendly and knowledgeable, and the fridge in the room was really cold, which was nice. However, the bathroom tile was gross, two of the face towels had stains, the toilet was hard to flush, and everything in the room was old and chipped.

I checked into my room and, after only 3 hours, found a crack pipe on the floor next to my bed. I demanded a refund and left the hotel.

The staff were extremely nice. The pool, however, was definitely not heated and felt more like an ice box. Breakfast was okay, but it was free, so you can complain.
