Hotel Ascot Riccione sits directly on Riccione’s beachfront, offering sea‑view balconies, a heated pool with hot tub, and complimentary Wi‑Fi. The hotel’s location is good and the overall structure looks fine. Unfortunately, these positives didn’t compensate for several services that, given the category and price, disappointed us. The value for money was clearly unsatisfactory. Before our stay we had read that the property had parking, but upon arrival we discovered it was paid: 15 € per day. The minibar prices also seemed excessive: we were charged 24 € for four small water bottles in the room, meaning 6 € each. The biggest disappointment was the dining. The quality and selection of food did not, in our opinion, match a 4‑star hotel, even though it cost 25 € per person. Moreover, we were charged 25 € for our 3‑year‑old son, who barely ate. This felt very unreasonable. Regarding the beach, we expected better service. The hotel doesn’t have its own private beach, but two affiliated facilities were listed nearby. One was unavailable; the other offered only the last row of seats with just a 5 € discount. In effect, the affiliation benefit was almost nonexistent for us. Finally, breakfast was very simple with a rather limited selection for a 4‑star hotel. We had also stayed in 3‑star hotels in the Rimini area with a breakfast and service that were decidedly more complete and varied. Overall, considering what we paid, we expected a markedly higher level of service.

The room was small but functional. The reception and food were terrible, and the price‑quality ratio was unjustified. The breakfast was considered good, given that the property is a 4‑star hotel.
