La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas/Fairpark

I’ve stayed here many times and usually it’s a solid experience, but this visit was disappointing. The place felt filthy—no housekeeping seemed to be on duty. The entryway, hallways, and elevators were all dirty. In my room, the sheets had stains, something I’ve never seen before. I called housekeeping right away and they swapped all the bedding, including the duvet and bedspread. The breakfast area the next morning was untidy, and the carpet was filthy. Normally I rate this hotel 9–10, but this stay was far below that, so I’m giving it a generous 3.

The room was very clean and modern, breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and the price was good.

“Affordable, comfortable”

I appreciated how clean and refreshing the hotel felt overall, but the pool was out of service because housekeeping apparently lost the key. The couch in my room smelled like urine, and when I called, I was told to wait 2 minutes to see if another couch was available or 5 minutes for someone to come to my room. After 20 minutes I called again and was told she’d call me first thing in the morning to switch rooms, but she never did.
