“A pure Gem in Halfeti - the Angel (Melek) Butik Otel”
Melek (meaning “angel” in Turkish) is a true gem! Located in a beautiful, authentic part of Halfeti, the recently built stone hotel showcases a fantastic architectural choice: a massive terrace around 150‑180 m² that could have been turned into five large rooms, yet they keep it small—just three or four rooms—so guests feel like royalty. The interior blends traditional design with modern comforts. After a vacation in historic towns, we were thrilled to find this calm, enchanted spot. The owner and his daughter were wonderful, eager to help and provide anything we needed, especially the golden figs from his garden—a treat we’d never tasted before. Coffee, pistachio coffee, and tea were all offered by the host, and the Turkish breakfast was a feast: delicious, varied, with local products and homemade “cigar börek.” Nearby, a 500 m canyon is a 2 km walk; the owner described it as magnificent, though it’s unfortunately littered with plastic waste. Still, it’s worth visiting for its natural beauty and history. I highly recommend Melek Butik Otel for its location, architecture, tranquility, and the warm welcome from the owners—everything was perfect.
