Maison La Tour

I’ll give this accommodation a high rating, but a few changes could make it even more appealing for future guests. We stayed on the upper floor under a slanted roof. Nothing was wrong with the room itself, but the staircase to reach it was a twisted design with uneven steps that were hard to navigate and somewhat wobbly, making it difficult for guests with mobility issues. Even very tall people found the space a bit tight. The upper floor consisted of a combined sleeping/ sitting/ eating area and a bathroom/kitchen area. In the bathroom/kitchen area there was no kitchen counter or anything similar; cookware was stored in the bathroom cabinet, a mini‑fridge sat on the floor, and dishes had to be washed in the sink of the bathroom cabinet. There was plenty of space to install a standard kitchen counter, but it wasn’t there. The private parking spot on the property was a definite plus. The accommodation was not super clean.

“A unique spot that will make your stay very enjoyable.”

A supernice place to stay! Our room was spacious and the location is optimal - calm but still in the very center, close to everything. It is quite unique to be able to park the car outside in a closed yard directly outside the house. Price/performance 10/10. Nothing

“Lovely and convenient place to stay but marred by the stairs.”

The location was excellent and the furnishings were all very nice, but the spiral staircase was a big problem for us; we’re in our 80s and found it difficult, so that should be mentioned in the description.

“Clean, comfortable and relaxing place to stay.”

Very clean, well laid out and furnished, with a short walk to the town centre yet still lovely and quiet; the bed was extremely comfortable, parking on site was a huge bonus, and contact with the owner was very useful – highly recommended, with no issues.
