Hotel Cappuccino

The hotel is in the town centre, rooms are clean, breakfast is tasty, and I’ll return next time.

The hotel sits in the town centre with easy parking and a few hundred metres to both EDEKA and REWE supermarkets, and just across the street there’s a little shop selling water and drinks; you can eat in the hotel or at the two very popular restaurants on the main street, where the food is excellent. The owner is a kindly grandfather who’s always eager to help, and once he understands what you need his service is very careful and thorough, even though communicating can be a bit tricky. While I was working on my laptop in the restaurant, the grandfather and his wife kept bringing me coffee and desserts, which felt really warm. By the way, many older guests like to spend their mornings chatting over breakfast or drinks at the restaurant or supermarket, and it’s amusing to watch them talk for hours; senior life here seems very comfortable.

“Es war für uns eine ideale Zwischenstation”

A warm welcome greeted me, and the staff easily stowed my bicycles. The breakfast spread was generous. No complaints to make.

“Ein wunderbarer Abend in einem schönen Hotel.”

The owner, Herr Lupo, truly embodied hospitality. When we asked in the evening, the closed restaurant let us enjoy a fine bottle of red wine without any hassle, and it was perfect. Unfortunately the restaurant is now closed, and even a great host can’t fix staff shortages.
