The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable, but the room was filthy, the bathroom was disgusting, there was no toilet paper, and there were spiders everywhere; we were dripped on all night from something unknown and woke up repeatedly because the mosque nearby was so loud.

It was one of the few hosts open in November during the low/monsoon season and the A/C worked, but that’s all; I left after two of the four paid nights. The room was super basic—more like a shack—so if you’re looking for it, search for “Z&Z Room” on Google Maps instead of “Z&Z Budget Room”; it’s basic, basic, basic.

The bed was comfy and the spot was good, but the bathroom was a bit dirty. If you’re the kind who wakes up easily, this place isn’t for you because it’s next to the mosque and at 5:30 you can hear the call to prayer, plus the room is a little cramped.

The island looked pretty, but the accommodation was filthy: the bin was full, mold on the walls, a strong stench, ants, and even a lizard in the room. There were no sheets, and the owner didn’t respond. It was a terrible experience; we booked another place and got no refund or any gesture. Don’t trust the photos.
