The spot is spot on and the staff were super friendly, even leaving our bags and dropping them off in the room for us. The mattress, however, felt a bit off and had a weird plastic covering that made it uncomfortable.

The location was right by the station, the staff were helpful, the reception provided a plug system for internet, there was overnight security and a laundrette nearby, and overall it was great value, though rooms were only available by the hour.

1. It’s a cheap hostel, but it still offers basic amenities; you still need to bring your own cotton swabs. 2. The guy at the entrance is friendly, and you can leave and pick up luggage for free before and after check‑in. 3. It’s next to Shin‑Ōkubo JR, making it convenient to reach major sights. 1. Initially the front desk said you’d be charged for each bag after check‑out, which turned out to be wrong. 2. The front desk’s English was poor; bring a translation app, though the staff were otherwise nice and claimed an English speaker was available, but that person’s English was also weak. 3. The room had no fridge, so you can’t buy a lot of food that needs refrigeration. 4. Internet is borrowed from the front desk; it’s labeled “rental” but actually free.
