“Luma Goa is absolutely wonderful”
The design and friendly service impressed me, and I loved everything about the food and the restaurant—I’ll definitely return. The beach is just a short walk away, mostly lined with fishing nets, but the reward is the most beautiful beach.
Everything was great: the location, staff, breakfasts, cleanliness—everything was super! The only thing that could be improved is the lack of a refrigerator.
I stayed in a gorgeous hut that was flawless in every detail, from the fresh mineral water to the beach towels and nice toiletries. The outdoor shower was a highlight, and the place felt peaceful and calm. April was hot, but the AC worked wonderfully. I enjoyed the sound of waves, eagles calling, and the occasional squirrel or monkey. The only thing I wish they had was a rack to air wet costumes and towels.
“Beautiful comfortable hotel with the kindest staff”
From the moment I stepped into Luma, a sense of calm settled over me; every staff member was genuinely helpful and kind, which made my stay exceptional. The hut was spacious, impeccably clean, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my entire India trip. I was concerned about mosquitoes, but the nets kept bites to a minimum, which was a bonus. The bed linen and towels were spotless, soft, and there were beach towels available. Breakfast, included with the stay, was delicious, offering coffee and juice options. The hotel sits right behind the beach yet remains quiet at night, which is great. I’d love to return! On the downside, the hotel area is spotless with zero trash, focusing on reusable items like glass water bottles and refillable toiletries, but Palolem itself is quite dirty, and the sandy paths to the beach are littered with trash. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but I hope the situation improves because the place is beautiful.
The staff were amazing, the place was quiet and beautifully designed, and the bungalows were stunning. Breakfast and the on-site café/restaurant served excellent food. The shower and toilet were outdoors, which was a unique experience, but it came with downsides—ants everywhere (they even covered our toothbrush one morning), and we shared the bathroom with frogs. It didn’t bother us, but it might not suit everyone. Water pressure in the shower was weak, and sometimes there was no hot water. The room had no fridge, frequent power outages occurred, and there were no curtains to block sunlight. Breakfast was tasty but not very rich or varied.
