“I have used booking com for many years and this is my first 10/10 rating - For The Hotel and staff”
First of all, the hotel is modern and the décor is lovely. I liked the carpet in the room; it was different from other hotels and a pleasant change. The shower offered both a rain shower and a normal attachment with controls that actually worked, unlike some other hotels. There was no mould anywhere around the shower. I’m not a fan of continental breakfasts, but that’s just me. There was plenty of choice available. Europeans tend to over‑cook their bacon, which is just a personal preference from a British perspective; we don’t usually cook our bacon that much! It would be good to have a separate jug for the milk for cereal though. The hotel is modern, everything is very clean, and the staff are wonderful and very helpful with requests and information. Getting to the hotel is simple by bus or tram. I’d give it 10 out of 10 as far as I am concerned. Visit the Swojski Smak restaurant and the donut shop at Podwale Staromiejskie, Gdańsk. Also consider day trips to Sopot for the Polish Riviera, hire a bike with Mevo (app) (£5 for 1½ hours), and Gdynia for ships and the submarine at the museum. In Gdańsk itself, the beauty of the buildings and the Live Butterfly Museum are a treat. Pictures of all these places are in this post. Get yourself a 72‑hour transit pass and take the 30‑minute train to Malbork and the castle, treating yourself to first class on the train. Overall, a wonderful 4 days. There is nothing to dislike.
