The place is solid, with every detail covered whether you’re staying short or long; it’s clean and comfortable, and I didn’t encounter any problems.

This place harks back to the old‑school Mom & Pop motels of the ’60s and ’70s, but unlike many still operating, it’s been kept in great shape and modernized; my wife, a clean freak, was initially hesitant, demanded to see the room first, but after a walk-through she was won over by the spotless condition. The beds are very comfortable and the place is quiet; the attendant was helpful and patient, and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep thanks to the Golden West. The only downside is that it could have offered a few more pillows or at least larger ones.
