I thought the lodge was in a valley from the pictures, but it’s actually perched on a peak with a nice car-accessible road, though the climb is on rough stone pavement. The high altitude keeps the place quiet, ideal for escaping city noise, but the view of surrounding mountains is limited.

The place looks beautiful, but the entrance is dark, slippery, and dangerous. The breakfast is very simple and leaves much to be desired, though the staff are helpful and attentive. The entrance and breakfast are the main issues.

The lodge’s service is outstanding, with a very attentive and welcoming team. On my birthday, I was surprised with a lovely note, a rose, and a small gift in my room, making the stay even more special. Breakfast is delicious, always fresh and constantly restocked. The location is a major plus: close to cafés and excellent restaurants, fully paved access, and the Rota do Carmo area in Pedra Azul is great for outings and enjoying local beauty. I recommend this accommodation!
