The staff and owner were lovely, breakfast was a nice change, and it's an amazing old building with huge comfortable rooms, great views, and so quiet. The access road has very few passing places, limited evening meal options in surrounding areas, and the Wi‑Fi was very unstable and kept dropping, which wouldn't be so bad if there was a TV.

I used it as a quick stop, but it could serve as a base for a week of exploring without getting bored; the long driveway was intimidating, and I was relieved to barely encounter anyone heading the other way.

The old‑style estate felt unique, the location was beautiful, and the family‑style breakfast in the dining room was lovely, though reaching dinner spots required a decent drive.
