Hotel Sol Marina

The spot is great, right near the beach, but we wished the room had been cleaned more often because sand made it dirty quickly.

The hotel faces the beach and is close to the town center; the room was pleasant, breakfast good, staff attentive, but the shower was cramped and hot water was scarce.

“Amazing stay in Tarrafal!”

The location is perfect. Right next to the beach. 1 minute from my hotel room, to swimming in the sea. Supermarkets are also at waling distance, as well as some restaurants. The staff is really friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was simple but good and plenty. Some bread, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, nothing to complain about. The rooms wel good and well maintained

The room had a sea view, was clean including the toilet, breakfast offered omelette, cheese, ham, yoghurt, and a delicious tea for someone who doesn’t drink milk or coffee; we could use the fridge for drinks and food. It was amazing to see Tarrafal after 29 years, the whole island, and even chat with the President of Cabo Verde who was in town that day. We were unlucky with a power and water outage that lasted one night and a morning; a mosquito net should have been on the balcony window (the bed’s one is hot and dusty). Sleeping with the fan made noise, and without light we couldn’t use it; the open window let in sea sounds but also relentless mosquitoes.
