The premises are run down and look nothing like the online photos. We traveled 3 hours to be told they could not honor our booking due to water issues. No phone call, email, or any attempt to reach out to us before arriving; it’s been over a week and we still have not been refunded.

There is some breakfast available and a place to eat it, which is helpful, and I can appreciate the relaxed vibe and the occasional appearance of staff. The location and free parking are the best aspects. The bed was clean enough, although the headboard was slightly detaching from the paneling over the nightstand it was supposed to connect to. It definitely meets 2‑star hotel expectations. I’m very cheap when staying overnight anywhere, and I think prices everywhere are astronomical, so take my review from that perspective. This was the cheapest option in town but still too high for what it offered. It feels like a youth hostel with bedrooms that have tried or at least tried in the past to be hotel quality. Cleanliness was similar; a janitor came through and did a decent job in the public bathroom, but there was still some filth in the corners while sitting on the unattached toilet seat. I would have taken the free egg and sausage patties for breakfast if there had been more than just what looked like the end of some wonder bread in a bag to put it on, so I just had coffee from the carafe and some breakfast bars I brought. I also chose the coffee from the carafe because the in‑room coffee maker looked a bit moldy or dusty inside. They provide coffee packs in the room, but my room had no complimentary bottled water. The mini fridge was empty and something else made a running noise intermittently at night. It’s a fine place if you keep your standards in check. Hudson is a stunning area.

It’s well located near coffee shops and restaurants. The staff are short‑staffed and need improvements. The refrigerator in the room buzzed all night and does not look fresh.

There was one pleasant staff person named Zach at the front desk, so he should be commended. The rest of the staff were not trained in any form of civility, except Zach. When I walked in there was a musty and old smell, the same in the halls. It’s obviously short‑staffed. The front desk area is messy and unwelcoming, and the whole place looks like it needs a major renovation. It was the worst place I’ve stayed in a long time—about 25 years to be precise.
