The location, staff, cleanliness and food were all solid, and the view from pool villas 601 and 602 was especially mesmerizing. The meals were tasty, the property was well kept and clean, and Chinnakanal remains a good spot in Munnar even in summer with its pleasant weather—no better place in Chinnakanal from what I’ve seen. I couldn’t find anything to dislike.

Everything was fantastic: the location, the property, the amenities, the staff. The team was very polite, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. Because there are only a few cottages, we received a very personal experience from everyone, from security to reception to restaurant staff—all amazing and kind. The property sits on multiple levels deep inside nature on a large plot, with two pools, a library, and plenty of green space to stroll. Even though we arrived in hot summer, it was still pleasant. They gave us cookies baked in their own Clay Oven, which were delicious, and every product on site—soap, shampoo, etc.—had lovely scents. They organized many activities such as walks, cooking classes, and yoga. This is a great property and I loved everything, especially the staff. The only comment I have is that the food in their restaurant was good but not the best I’ve had.

This resort is a hidden gem in the hillside cardamom plantations above Bison Valley. It has everything you might need for a holiday, so you can stay on site for days if you wish. The staff offer a range of onsite and offsite activities—hikes, tea tasting, yoga, and more—which we all enjoyed. They helped arrange taxi rides to Munnar and Chokramudi (a must-see if you’re nearby). Overall, the staff were extremely helpful and kind, providing optimal service that made us feel pampered without intruding. The tap water was a bit yellowish, so it didn’t look best in the jacuzzi, and it was a pity that cooking classes and some menu items were unavailable due to a natural gas shortage.

The rooms are beautiful, with all facilities to a very high standard, and the view is glorious. The location is peaceful and well hidden in the hills. The staff are amazingly attentive and helpful. The food is great—genuinely the best we’ve tasted three weeks into our month-long road trip—and they even offer free biscuits made on site! The only downside is that it’s a serious hike to get there: the roads are very narrow and windy, and the property sits on a steep hillside, which isn’t ideal for those with mobility issues.
