The Grand Hotel de la Gare, Angers, is located opposite Angers-Saint-Laud TGV Train Station and close to the city centre. Soundproofed rooms feature free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The price was a bit high.

For a 3‑star hotel, the room felt very outdated—a two‑person nightstand, no bathroom paper, one soap for two people, and the price was high for the quality. On the bright side, there was no outside noise at all.

The staff were very welcoming and the room was spotless. I would have liked a heating option (it was switched off) and a kettle tray.
