The accommodation is in a hotel where students learn hotel and hospitality business. A bit of an intro. Guest rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, rooms partially renovated. Breakfast buffet is sufficient, staff very pleasant, elsewhere you have to learn. The price is low. Those who don’t expect 5 stars, and the Academy doesn’t play with that, will be satisfied. The only downside is that the renovations are not fully finished, including doors and bathrooms.
“Heet en oud”
In ten minutes you’re in the city center and it’s great that you can park on the hotel grounds. The communist style can have some appeal, but it’s definitely not a plus at this hotel. It seems that not a lot of maintenance has been done since Slovakia became a free and democratic country. It’s still fairly clean. I was there when it was around 30 degrees and I slept poorly because of the heat in the room.
The staff were direct, helpful and flexible, easy to reach, free parking, a tidy room, a restaurant, and an excellent breakfast.
The beds were good. The rooms are rundown, the exhaust fans in the toilet and bathroom don’t work. The tiles in the toilet are flaked, the sink is damaged, there is no shower rod in the bathtub, and there was no shower enclosure. In the area near the rooms, the carpet on the stairs is torn.
