“End of Season?”

The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable, but overall it needed some TLC. The two staff I met were friendly, yet there was no one available in the morning, and there was no provision for buying breakfast or asking for advice. As a lone senior traveller, I felt isolated at night with no one around if a problem arose.

The welcome was excellent, and the ability to park bicycles inside was a plus. The situation in the city centre was calm despite the location. The hyper‑noisy bed frame was a major issue, and the mattress quality was mediocre.

The room matched the listing exactly, was spacious, and the furniture was lovely. Breakfast was delightful and the staff were brilliant, making me feel very at home. Nothing could have been better; the location is central and easy to find. I love the village and the church, and the bakery was great with very friendly staff.

“Comfortable night's rest but rather limited facilities and room in need of some TLC.”

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast good. The location was excellent, and the bathroom was a lovely size with a good shower. Staff were very welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The room really needs a refresh; the carpet was very stained, the TV signal was so weak we gave up on it, and the toiletries bottles in the bathroom were empty.
