The rooms and bathrooms were very pretty and had delicately scented toiletries. The breakfast buffet was super rich and we really enjoyed it! The location was perfect for visiting Porto’s highlights. Both pillows were uncomfortable, breakfast started at 8:00 am which is a bit late if you’re doing day trips to the Douru Valley (though you can get a lunch pack), the rooms facing the street were nice, but the street is very noisy and busy, so you can’t leave the window open.

The staff were professional and supportive, the breakfast buffet was good, the location was great, and the staff handled our initial bathroom flooding quickly and professionally. The initial bathroom flooding was a surprise.

“Lovely city, lovely people, great hotel!”

Hotel was perfect location for the riverside which was full of bars and restaurants - great atmosphere and not intimidating. Hotel itself was a block up from hotel so calmer, although on a busy road with a taxi rank right outside which was really useful. Hotel staff really friendly and helpful. We walked across to the other side of the river to Gaia and took the water taxi back. A kettle salesman would make a killing but that is an English thing! Nothing negative to say really
