The staff were friendly, the top‑floor room faced the boats and some shops, and it was close to the parking building. However, street noise was an issue—people from the pubs (mostly youths) were coming home between 2 – 4 am on the weekend, which kept us awake. There was no fan, so we opened the windows and the noise was even louder, and the caravan felt very dated.

The hotel’s close to town centre, which was great, though the room felt a bit cramped, but it didn’t bother us.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, but there was no lift from the third floor to the ground floor and the lighting in the third‑floor corridors was very poor.

The location in the centre of Torquay was good and the room was big, yet it was unbearably hot at night—more like a sauna—and the fans didn’t help; there were also very few plug sockets for us to charge phones, despite it being a family room.

It was scruffy throughout. Shower cubicle tiny, water flow pathetic & took 5 mins with sink tap on to decrepit temperature. Long in need of an upgrade/ redecoration. Large hotel with one small lift ( max 4 persons) resulted in queueing for it!!!
