The kitchen area is spacious, with a water dispenser and everything else you need to cook, plus plenty of coffee pods. The host is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it’s on the third floor without an elevator, so the stairs are a bit tricky. There’s no bedside lamp, and I hope they wash or change the sheets for each new guest because there were no fresh pillowcases. The room is very small.

I visited last year and came back this year with friends. The place is still kept clean, which made for a pleasant stay. I’m a bit particular about AC cleanliness, and the filter and interior were spotless—impressive. I’ve seen rooms where dust piles up, but here the host keeps everything tidy. The AC might smell a bit when it first starts, so the host left a note to set it to 18°C first, then adjust to your desired temperature to reduce the odor. I liked how he pays attention to small details. He also posted a Post‑it guide, and he said he’ll soon prepare a six‑language version for travelers. Seeing how the place has improved since my last visit was nice. It remains clean and comfortable.

I love staying somewhere that feels like the host’s heart is in it, and 여유게스트하우스 is that place. Travelers from all over come, leave with different memories, and I spent a night in a room the host himself repaired last year, which made me want to return. The building is over 40 years old, so every corner shows the host’s long‑term thoughtfulness—some parts are rough or uneven, but that only reminds me of the three years he spent fixing them. If you’re thinking of a newly built place, this will feel different. The old building’s character is preserved while being gently improved. I found it fun to spot what had changed since last year. They provide two travel‑adapter plugs for foreign guests and even purple disposable earplugs at the front desk. Even when the rooms were almost full, they were surprisingly quiet, so I always slept well. They even had a phone charger, which I hadn’t seen before. Small touches like that show the host still cares about guests. Among all the places I’ve stayed in 문경 for a night, 여유게스트하우스 is the one whose heart stays with me long after I leave.

It was quiet, and the disposable toothbrushes were a nice touch. The sink water didn’t drain well, which was inconvenient and probably needs fixing. The AC had a strong mold smell that made it tough to stay. The poster was too many and kept falling, so a tape fix would help.
