The place was perfect for a two‑night stay, just a bit outside the centre, so I drove most of the time.

The location was convenient, about a 15‑minute walk to either Windermere or Bowness, and free parking was right outside the room. The host was friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size and comfortable, equipped with a fridge‑freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster, and egg boiler. The only issue was a steep slope from the property to the main road, unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

I had a fantastic experience; Martin, the host, was not only incredibly kind but also very knowledgeable about the area and eager to share any details. The only downside was that the bathroom’s ventilation was a bit poor if you keep the door closed.

The location was good, and Martin and his wife were really helpful. However, the room and bathroom were extremely small, and there were spiders in the room. When I mentioned it to Martin, he replied, “Don’t you have spiders in your country?” Wow!
