The place is close to the train station and easy to walk to. It’s a quiet spot with excellent traditional food, far better than what you’d get at a restaurant outside. The family running it is super friendly and takes good care of you.

If you want a peaceful, authentic coastal getaway, Feel Villa in Kalutara is a real treasure. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, genuine, and effortlessly attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The villa itself is beautifully maintained, blending comfort with a relaxed, homely vibe. Spacious rooms, clean interiors, and a calm atmosphere made it easy to switch off and just enjoy the surroundings. What really makes this place special is the setting. Surrounded by lush greenery and just a short distance from the beach, it strikes that perfect balance between privacy and accessibility. Mornings felt slow and refreshing, and evenings were ideal for unwinding. The food deserves a mention too—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It added to the overall experience rather than just being a standard add‑on.

“Voelt heel welkom”

We were greeted warmly by the owner, who was helpful and friendly. We were handed freshly squeezed fruit juice right away. The room had a lovely view of a beautiful garden from the balcony. We slept and ate well. If desired, the owners can give plenty of tips, they’re a modern couple, and you can also dine there on request. Nothing else. It would be handy to have (own) transport.
