Waltershort Guest House and Bed and Breakfast

“It's just don't make sense”

It was peaceful, but the costs were disappointing: I booked online for R378 per night, yet when I extended my stay by 4 more hours I was charged R350 for those 4 hours only, and they insisted I pay them directly 😔

“Very bad amaqola”

The cleanliness of the place was a major plus, but the real issue was when I arrived and they asked me to pay extra despite having already paid online. It was really frustrating and made me feel like they weren't interested in helping me.

“Robbers”

I was really looking forward to staying here, but things took a turn for the worse when I arrived and found the gate closed. No matter how many times I hooted the horn or pressed the buzzer, no one came to let me in. I ended up having to find another place to stay and I'm still waiting for a refund.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were intruding on the owners. The "hostess" made us feel unwelcome, and the whole experience was just awkward. We were expecting a private bathroom, but it was shared, and there was no breakfast, despite the place calling itself a bed and breakfast. Even asking for coffee was a hassle.

The hotel's location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, but the constant noise from the streets made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I checked in late, but the room itself was a letdown - it was small and the bathroom was cramped. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were flat and the air con was a bit temperamental. Overall, it was a decent stay, but not exactly what I was expecting for the price.
