“Not bad for a one-night stay during a U-Haul road trip.”

We managed to park a 15‑foot U‑Haul moving truck at the back of the building, and saw even larger trucks there, including a tractor‑trailer; our truck stayed safe overnight, though moving trucks in hotel parking lots have been looted or stolen before, so it’s best to avoid that if possible. We used a disk padlock on the back of the truck and a steering‑wheel lock for extra security, but that only reduces the risk; it does not eliminate it. The air conditioning worked well enough, the Wi‑Fi worked well enough, and there were working electrical outlets. A mini‑fridge and a microwave oven were available. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a grocery store, which I hear most people’s actual homes in America don’t have. Breakfast was satisfactory, and there are many restaurant options nearby. The bathroom lacked a locking door; instead, it has a sliding door that can close either the bathroom or the wardrobe, but not both, and it can’t be locked. I’ve heard hotels do this to discourage multiple people from renting one room, but I can’t verify it; in any case, it’s just ridiculous. This was a double‑queen room, so at least two people were expected to stay there. There were a few signs of damage and uncleanness in the room, but nothing that really concerned me personally.
