“Swimming pool and bathrooms Run down and disappointing”

The hotel’s layout was nice and the reception staff were welcoming. However, the pool and changing rooms looked dirty and worn out in many spots, and the bathroom felt rundown too. The pillows and bed were terribly uncomfortable, and a constant loud squeak from the shower filled the room. The air conditioning and heating were very noisy. Laundry delivery and collection took place between 6:30‑7:15, right outside our window, and even though the window was shut it was terribly noisy and woke us up after the worst nights of sleep. When I complained at checkout, the receptionist offered us the executive lounge for breakfast, which sounded good, but the breakfast itself was poor—just scrambled eggs that looked sick and sausages, with no beans, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, or hash browns; only cereal cakes, toast, and a quick snack. Even though it was a complimentary offer, it was very, very disappointing.
