The peacefulness and lovely green garden in Ukambani were nice, and the breakfast—Kenyan style with cassava and sweet potatoes, mandazi, samosa, egg & sausage, and fruit—was delicious, though a bit too much to eat, and it was served by a very friendly gentleman. The ambiance in the restaurant and the cleaners who cleaned the room (even though we didn’t leave the key at the reception) were too thorough, replacing our stuff and opening and closing luggage; nothing was taken, but it felt like a lack of respect for our privacy.

The room size and location were fine, but the room could use sound‑proofing—one could hear someone snoring from the next room, and you couldn’t even elbow them awake. The food was not good, too greasy, burnt, and overcooked. The dining tables were never clean, and the staff could use some training; they were nice people, though, just inexperienced.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The gardens were a peaceful oasis, and I appreciated the comfort of my bed. However, the check-in process was a bit confusing since the staff wasn't aware that I had already paid, which caused some delays. Additionally, I was looking forward to a early breakfast, but it wasn't ready on time, and the bathroom facilities were quite basic, with lukewarm water.
