The place sits on a quieter street than central Florence, yet still close to everything, especially Santa Croce. The bed was fine, the room spacious, and check‑in was very early. The staff were courteous, the room was clean, hot water was available, and the building has an elevator (all rooms are on the 4th floor). You can leave luggage in the lobby after check‑out, but there’s no dedicated storage. On the downside, the furniture—especially in the bathroom—was old, the floor tiles made the room feel very cold and the bathroom actually froze, the smell in the bathroom was awful, the air‑conditioning didn’t run at full capacity, outside noise could wake you at night—especially if you’re unlucky enough to have the garbage truck pass—and the price was high for the comfort offered.
