“A lovely break in a lovely hotel in a lovely position and can’t wait to return.”
The property sat right on the promenade and was less than 5 minutes from the main shopping area; we booked a spot in the adjacent car park, but the kind gentleman who collected payment let us use it while we checked the hotel’s limited parking (only 3 spaces), so we crossed over and surprisingly secured the last spot. The reception staff were wonderful and made us feel welcomed. Our room had a balcony, which we enjoyed when the wind wasn’t too strong, and the view was spectacular. The bed was comfortable and the sound of waves was soothing. Breakfast offered a full English or several fish options, and the continental buffet was also excellent. We didn’t dine at the hotel in the evening, but the food looked appealing; we’ll definitely return. The only downsides were that parking behind the hotel is lucky to get and street parking can be hit‑or‑miss, and while breakfast was good, we wished there were more non‑fish options for those of us who don’t eat fish. These are minor and won’t stop us from coming back.
