The JUFA Hotel Maria Lankowitz is nestled in Western Styria's rolling hills, adjacent to Lake Piberstein's leisure area. Modern rooms, a café, and lounges complement its amenities. A children's play room, garden with playground, and sports facilities are nearby. The hotel is close to the Erzherzog Johann Golf Course, Therme Nova Thermal Spa, Piber stud, and Red Bull Ring.

Great breakfast buffet

The location was good, overall it was fine. The coffee at breakfast wasn’t great. The lobby and stairwell were carpeted in an old style.

Parking right outside the door. Quick check‑in. Nice room, though a bit worn, good bathroom. Value for money. The parking fee was a bit annoying and the furniture looked a little worn.

This hotel was booked for a 4‑night stay with parking and breakfast, which included my birthday. I had upgraded the room because of this. While the room sizes were okay, they felt more like dormitory rooms than a hotel. We were attending the MotoGP at the Red Bull Ring and the hotel appeared to be closer than those in Graz. The receptionist that checked us in was not very friendly; when we asked about the restaurant we were told that it wasn’t available at the moment and the only things that were available were pizzas and potentially toasties. This was disappointing but we were told that there were restaurants in the town. No attempt was made to help us with details. When we entered the room, it was clean, the bathroom was large but the windows were very high and it felt very enclosed and more like a dormitory. The double bed was two small single beds pushed together with metal frames that had a wide gap between them. The mattresses weren’t very comfortable and there was no air conditioning, which I should have checked before booking. The walls are so thin that we could hear the man in the next room sneezing and in the middle of the night being sick, not quite the quiet hotel that we thought we were booking. We had to have the windows open and loud work started near the hotel quite early, so after a pretty bad night with little sleep and noise, we decided to leave the hotel and book another in Graz. This wasn’t an easy decision and we have never done this before. When I checked out and explained the situation, the receptionist said that she wanted to try and help to reduce the cost I was incurring. She explained that if I had booked direct she could amend but as it is with that they would need to authorise it. They were happy to amend but said it was a hotel decision, so I went round and round in circles and in the end was charged for 4 nights accommodation, 4 days parking and city tax which seems ridiculous. I understand that I booked a non‑changeable room but given the circumstances and what the receptionist said, I emailed offering to pay half, and have had no response despite following up twice.
